The heart of the TD-316 is the V31 sound module, featuring the same advanced sound engine as the top-of-the-line V71. Thanks to DW Soundworks, you have a complete collection of realistic drum sounds for every style of music. The module supports use both as a virtual instrument in your DAW and as a stand-alone module for live performances. The clear interface with large color display makes selecting and modifying kits fast and intuitive.

Always up-to-date with Roland Cloud Connect
With the Roland Cloud Connect app and built-in Wi-Fi, you can easily download new sounds and add-ons directly from your smartphone or tablet. You also receive a 6-month Roland Cloud Ultimate membership, which gives you access to Roland's extensive library of synths, drum kits and exclusive artist sounds. The V31 Editor software and V-Edit tools let you customize every sound in detail, both in the studio and on stage.

Create your own drum kit
In addition to the many preset kits, you can import your own WAV samples via the SDHC card slot (SD card not included). In this way, add your own sounds to existing kits or build unique drum sets from scratch. Whether you're working with lo-fi samples, loops or acoustic drums - the possibilities are endless.

Easy to use in the studio
The V31 module sends multichannel audio directly to your DAW via USB-C, so you can quietly record drum tracks in studio quality. The MIDI Out allows retriggering or control of virtual instruments, while the L/R stereo outputs are ideal for connecting to a PA mixer during performances.

Expansion and practice features
The V31 features two additional trigger inputs and a digital pad input, making it easy to expand your kit with additional pads or cymbals. The built-in coaching feature helps improve your playing with tools like Time Check, Quiet Count, Phrase Trainer, Stroke Monitor and the powerful Blast Beat Builder.

Bluetooth audio and MIDI
With the built-in Bluetooth feature, stream music wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet. Practice along with your favorite tracks or use Bluetooth MIDI to pair with other devices. Connect external audio easily via the 3.5mm Mix In input.

Sturdy MDS-COM2 drum rack
The set comes with the MDS-COM2 rack, a compact and stable frame that guarantees a safe and comfortable setup. Adjustable arms and boom holders make it easy to position everything as desired. Non-slip rubber feet provide a stable base, while the included trigger cable, power supply, module holder and smartphone tray complete the setup.
