Roland VAD316

The Roland VAD316 is the successor to the VAD307. This new electronic percussion combines an authentic look and playing experience of an acoustic set with the versatile capabilities of modern digital technology. The wooden cymbals with adjustable mesh skins provide the natural response of an acoustic drum, while the advanced V-Cymbals perfectly register every nuance. The heart of the set is the new V31 module, equipped with the same sound engine as the top-of-the-line V71. Its compact design and extensive features make the VAD316 perfect for studio, stage and rehearsal space.

V31 sound module
The V31 module offers unmatched sound quality with the same extensive library as the V71. With the included DW Soundworks software instrument, you can also use the sounds within your DAW or as a VST, ideal for studio recording. Through the Roland Cloud Connect app and built-in Wi-Fi, you can instantly download new sounds, extensions and signature kits. The Roland Cloud Ultimate membership (6 months included) gives access to a huge collection of legendary Roland sounds. With the V31 Editor software and extensive V-Edit tools, you'll effortlessly create your own drum sounds.

Software editor and sound editing
The highly anticipated V-Drums software editor is now available via Roland Cloud. This makes it easy to edit kits and effects on a larger computer screen, with direct synchronization between module and software. Ideal for drummers who want to tune their sound in detail.

Import your own samples
In addition to a large selection of preset kits, you can import your own WAV samples via SD card (not included). Use them to create unique combinations of acoustic and electronic sounds or integrate loops and special effects.

Hassle-free recording
The V31 module sends multitrack audio directly to your DAW via USB-C. This allows you to record studio-quality audio without microphones, interface or distracting volume. In addition, the module offers MIDI Out for driving virtual instruments and stereo L/R outputs for live performances.

Expandable and learnable
The V31 features two additional trigger inputs and a digital pad input for future expansion. Built-in practice features such as Time Check, Quiet Count, Phrase Trainer and Blast Beat Builder help improve your technique and sharpen your timing.

Bluetooth and Mix In
With built-in Bluetooth, easily stream music from your smartphone or tablet, perfect for playing along with your favorite tracks. Prefer wired? Then use the 3.5mm Mix In jack.
