A quiet revolution for home drummers

Roland V-Drums are already known as one of the quietest electronic drum kits on the market - thanks to years of development, high-quality engineering and the ability to play through headphones. Yet even the sound of standard V-Drums in the home can be perceived as disturbing. The striking of pads can be audible to others, and low vibrations from the kick and hi-hat pedals can permeate through the floor into other rooms.

That's where V-Drums Quiet Design comes in. Although they look like regular V-Drums, each component is packed with clever innovations to minimize playing noise. Specially designed pads and hardware significantly reduce acoustic volume, while sound-absorbing materials isolate the energy of your playing - so you can drum freely, without disturbing the quiet of your home.

Designed for whisper-quiet performance
To make V-Drums even quieter, we conducted extensive research into sound propagation and construction materials. In addition, entirely new techniques have been developed to effectively address the well-known problem of drum noise. In specialized testing environments, the VQD106 V-Drums Quiet Design kit has been shown to reduce noise levels by up to 75% compared to a standard V-Drums kit. The kick and hi-hat pedals feel smooth and are exceptionally quiet, while the stick hits on the pads are comparable in volume to a normal conversation in the room.

Ultra-responsive snare and tom pads.
Despite all the advanced noise-canceling features, the snare and toms in the VQD106 kit deliver the great stick feel and natural rebound you expect from top-notch V-Drums pads. The PDQ-8S and PDQ-8 pads are made with a sound-absorbing honeycomb rubber insert covered with a mesh head. Specially placed vents at the bottom of the playing surface dissipate air pressure, further reducing noise. The PDQ-8S snare offers independent sheet and rim triggering, plus a soft rubber covering on the rim for quiet rimshots.

Articulating cymbal pads with natural movement.
The VQD106 kit includes three versatile CYQ-12 cymbal pads with honeycomb rubber, mesh covers and ventilation, just like the snare and tom pads. On top of that, plastic parts are insulated with rubber materials to eliminate vibration. In the crash and ride positions, the CYQ-12 offers independent bow and edge triggers, natural swing movements and the ability to mute the cymbal by gripping it. In the hi-hat position, the pad is paired with the FD-9 control pedal for detailed response and ultra-quiet operation.

Satisfying kick pad and beater.
The KDQ-8 kick pad delivers the satisfying "thump" every drummer wants, while keeping the sound in your headphones. The 8-inch playing surface supports single and double kick pedals and features a dense three-layer cushion covered with double-layer mesh material. This sits in a floating frame to reduce vibration and sound transmission. Four rubber feet provide stability and further isolation, while the included KDB-Q quiet beater has a specially designed round head that minimizes impact noise when hitting the playing surface.

Noise-isolating stand and pedal feet.
Our innovative stand and pedal feet complete the V-Drums Quiet Design experience, preventing residual clicks, thumps and vibrations from spilling over to the floor and other rooms in your living space. Special semi-circular rubber feet on the stand isolate pad noise, while the special NEQ-K and NEQ-H bases for kick and hi-hat pedals also feature special rubber foot designs to keep foot stomps within limits. The bases are newly developed for the V-Drums Quiet Design series, building on the design of our popular NE-10 Noise Eater product.

Powerful TD-07 sound module.
The TD-07 is a versatile sound module with high-quality acoustic and electronic drum sounds, recorded in professional studios and powered by advanced V-Drums technology. Personalize each sound by swapping drums, adjusting tunings, adding damping and using EQ to shape the perfect tone. Use the built-in Bluetooth to stream audio from smartphones and tablets directly through the module for seamless jamming or video lessons. And take advantage of USB connectivity to record stereo audio and MIDI into a DAW, trigger computer-based instruments, and integrate with coaching software from Melodics™ and free interactive lessons for V-Drums users.
