Sennheiser MME 865-1 BK

The Sennheiser MME 865 is a condenser, supercardioid microphone head. The capsule has the same acoustic characteristics as the wired e865 vocal microphone. This separate microphone head can easily be mounted on a wireless handheld transmitter.

By default, a handheld transmitter is not always supplied with a microphone head. This system allows you to choose and order the right microphone head yourself. The Sennheiser MME capsules are compatible with, among others, the SKM 100/300/500 G3/G4, SKM 2000/6000/9000, SKM D1/AVX and SL handheld DW wireless transmitters (sold separately). The capsule is easy to install.

What is also convenient about an interchangeable capsule is that you can change the microphone head if there is a specific application that requires a different head. So on a handheld transmitter you can use different microphone heads. On a small stage a dynamic microphone can sometimes work better than for example a sensitive condenser microphone. Or perhaps you prefer to use a microphone with a kidney characteristic (eg at a presentation). And for another application, you may prefer to switch to a super-kidney (e.g. if you suffer from crosstalk on a stage with a lot of monitor noise). The interchangeable capsule system thus allows you to choose between capsules with different levels of sensitivity and polarity patterns.
