8-ply maple kettles with HVLT construction

The 45° bearing edges ensure that the toms respond evenly to the batter vibration, resulting in a balanced response and efficient energy transfer. Instead, the 60° bearing edge of the bass drum enhances punch and low end, for a backbeat that comes in tight and convincing.

Thoughtful hardware in detail
The Design Series is also carefully crafted in terms of hardware. The lightweight mini turret lugs reduce extra weight on the shell and allow the drum to resonate freely, without compromising stability. Combined with the triple-flanged hoops, they create an open soundscape with many tuning options, suitable for both low, deep tunings and tighter, more direct settings. The True Pitch tension screws better hold the chosen tuning during intensive playing. Thanks to rubber washers, unwanted loosening is prevented and everything stays reliably in place. All hardware parts also feature rubber grommets, ensuring a neat metal-to-shell connection with no side noises or rattling.
