Sonor ProLite, 322 Nussbaum, Maple

The ProLite is the flagship of the Sonor collection, featuring ultra-thin maple shells (cross-laminated with reinforcement hoops)—4 mm for the toms and 6 mm for the bass drum—and 45-degree bearing edges. This set is truly built to produce great tone; open, resonant, and dynamic. That said, the ProLite wouldn’t bear the Sonor name without being equipped with the most state-of-the-art hardware. With its tune-safe lugs, isolated tom suspension, and attractive yet highly functional bass drum legs, this is a kit that professional or discerning drummers can rely on with confidence in any situation. The kit sounds powerful but, above all, rich in tone. As is often the case with more luxurious and complex-sounding sets, achieving the optimal sound sometimes requires some tuning skills from the user, but when you get it right, the sound really soars.
