Radial J48 Stereo

The Radial J48 Stereo DI is a professional, active direct box. Ideal for live sound or in the professional studio. The J48 Stereo is the stereo variant of the well-known J48. So you have two channels in and two channels out. It's a great choice for keyboards, guitar, and bass players who need the I/O for stereo amp rigs or using multiple instruments. Rugged steel construction on the outside and Radial's award-winning engineering on the inside.

Many battery-powered instruments (e.g., active bass guitars) and keyboards produce up to 7 volts when played at maximum volume. Simple active direct boxes that can only handle about 3 volts can then easily overload. The J48 Stereo uses a unique switching power supply that increases the internal rail voltage to as much as 9 volts, resulting in better signal processing and greater headroom. This extra headroom reduces distortion, preserving the natural tone and character of the instrument. The J48 maintains stereo separation between the left and right channels, so it can be used for two separate instruments or with stereo sources such as keyboards.
