Art DUALXDirect

The ART DUALXDirect is the dual channel version of the well-known ART Xdirect. This high-quality active DI box provides a reliable solution to convert two instrument, line or speaker level signals to balanced signals for connection to a mixer or other equipment with balanced inputs.

The DUALXDirect is a solid, compact and affordable addition to any professional studio, home recording setup or live sound system - whether for permanent installation or on tour. This active interface delivers a clear and true-to-life signal, without unwanted background noise or hum, and is designed to perform flawlessly in any situation. The ART DUALXDirect is designed to effortlessly convert instrument, line and speaker level signals to an isolated, balanced low impedance signal. Thanks to high-quality active electronics with very low noise, the unbalanced hi-Z 6.35 mm and XLR inputs are buffered and converted to a reliable output signal. Frequency response is exceptionally flat and wide, allowing the DUALXDirect to perform cleanly and undistorted even at high signal levels - even over long cable runs or in environments with many sources of interference.

Where traditional DI boxes stop, the DUALXDirect continues with a switchable lowpass filter on the output. This Bessel filter is located outside the audio range and stops unwanted high-frequency interference such as radio interference. Ideal when used with DAW systems: the filter also suppresses digital noise coming from computers, keeping the sound crisp and clean. With adjustable input attenuation, the DUALXDirect is suitable for a variety of signal levels. The additional Input Link output allows the original signal to be looped through to other equipment. The Ground Lift switch allows you to completely separate the input and output grounds if necessary - which helps prevent hum and ground loops.

The rugged black housing is made of anodized aluminum and provides optimal protection for use on the road or in fixed installations. Thanks to its flexible power supply design, the DUALXDirect operates both on an internal 9V battery and via phantom power on the XLR output. The unit automatically detects if phantom power is present and automatically switches to it.
