The Radial ProAV2 is a passive stereo direct box designed specifically for the audio/video integrator. It is the "Swiss pocket knife" among DIs!
The ProAV2 features several stereo inputs, simplifying signal management. To eliminate the need for different adapters, several connectors are provided, including 1/4" (jack) for instruments, RCA and mini-jack connectors for consumer electronics and computers, plus a +4dB XLR output for linking to professional systems.
The connectors on the front panel of the ProAV2 can also be used as thru-puts to allow multiple patch points. Custom wound transformers are used that can withstand exceptionally high levels while maintaining linearity from 20 Hz to 18.5 kHz. Transformer isolation has the added benefit of eliminating ground loops that cause audio hum and buzz and video hum or snow. A -15dB pad is provided to tame hot signals and the ground elevator eliminates hum and buzz caused by ground loops. If you do live sound for events, the ProAV2 should be in your toolbox!
