The Premier Mini DC is D'Angelico's entry-level double-cut, center-block/semi-hollowbody guitar. In other words, it’s an ES-type guitar built according to the classic formula—but executed exceptionally well. An ES-339 to be precise, making it a relatively compact size for a hollowbody.
The Premier series is truly an amazing introduction (and that’s an understatement) to this type of guitar, whose versatility never ceases to amaze us. And that certainly applies to the Premier Mini DC, which lets you tackle virtually any genre without ever feeling like it’s “neither fish nor fowl.”  On the contrary; with this DC, you lay a very solid foundation of guitar tone in any situation—one that’s actually just a little different from all other traditional and iconic guitar models. The Premier series is therefore also ideal for the seasoned guitarist who already has a nice collection but simply wants to add a little “flavor” to it.
Compared to the standard DC, this Mini DC is slightly brighter and more defined; simply put, its body is proportionally more solid. The body is made of laminated maple with a spruce top. The maple set neck features an ovangkol fingerboard with a 16" radius, Grover Super Rotomatic tuners, and the guitar has a 24.75" scale length. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Design humbuckers.
