Duesenberg Starplayer TV Black Sparkle

With its fantastic art-deco looks, state-of-the-art design and specifications, it is the Starplayer TV that is the unmistakable centre-piece of the entire Duesenberg collection. Most of the other models seem to be derivatives of the Starplayer TV, but perhaps none of them are as versatile and typical for the German guitar company. In fact, the Starplayer TV covers much of the iconic sounds of an LP, Tele and Strat awfully well.

With the distinctive recipe of a center-block flame maple hollowbody with arched spruce top, 1-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 25.5" scale and 12" radius and the Duesenberg designed Grand Vintage humbucker / P90 Domino combination, Duesenberg seems to have found a brilliant mix where versatility doesn't result in something "safe". The Starplayer TV is by no means boring or in lack of character. On the contrary; these Duesenbergs are always rich in sound and tone. In addition, the Starplayer TV -Tremolo Version- features Duesenberg's Deluxe Tremola; looks like a Bigsby, but actually offers more comfort, stability, adjustment capabilities and ease of use. The Starplayer TV family knows many variations which are often subtle on paper, yet each Starplayer has its own character and purpose.
