The HK Audio Linear 5 MKII 112 FA is a professional active 12-inch speaker. With its stylish grille design, the LINEAR 5 active speaker series looks as good as it sounds. Notable features include advanced DSP including a multiband limiter, 10-band EQ, filters and delay to fine-tune the best sound. This FA variant has a slightly larger enclosure than the 'XA' variant for a transparent, full sound with extra low-end punch.

High Power
The HK Audio L5 MKII 112 FA is a speaker that can deliver a hefty volume of sound. It also goes louder than its predecessor (the first generation Linear 5). The speaker is powered by a 1200 watt Class D amplifier. The speaker reaches a maximum sound pressure level of 128 dB SPL. The sound of the Linear 5 MKII 112 FA is clear, balanced and detailed with a nice full low. The spread of the FA is a bit narrower than the XA variant so you can aim them more easily. Within the sound dispersion, you therefore have stronger sound reproduction.

Improvements of Linear 5 MKII 112 FA
The HK Audio Linear 5 MKII 112 FA has a number of improvements over its predecessor. For example, it has more power (600W RMS, 128 dB SPL), yet it is smaller and weighs less. The speaker has come a long way! Anyway, these FA speakers deliver slightly more bass sound than the XA versions, partly because of the construction of the cabinet. The rugged, plywood & MDF wood cabinet provide strong acoustic reproduction. Settings are now adjustable remotely via DSP control software.

DSP of HK Audio Linear 5 MKII 112 FA
The DSP of the Linear 5 MKII 112 FA lets you set various parameters to make the speaker sound the way you prefer. On the back, you can easily choose one of the presets: Flat, Boost, Low Cut, Remote. The other DSP settings can be adjusted via the software DPS Control. This is available for both Windows and Mac computers. In this program you will find a 10-band equalizer, high-pass filter and low-pass filter and parameters such as polarity, level, delay, limiter and mute can be set.
