The Roland SYSTEM-8 is one of the most futuristic synths available today. This new synth comes from the lessons of a long history of synthesizers within Roland. This goes to show the quality, with an advanced ACB chip, an 8-note polyphony, three oscillators, high-resolution filters and polyvalent LFOs. Techniques Roland is known for and deliver pure performance. The System-8 turns sounds from classic analog pad sounds, basses and lead synths into fresher sounds with a space-filling structure. In addition to its own sound source, the System-8 has the ability to drive those Plug-Out software synths, of which the JUPITER-8 and the JUNO-106 come with it
The JUPITER-8 and JUNO-106 already made us happy but the SYSTEM-100, SH-101 AND PROMARS also work on the SYSTEM-8. In performance mode it is possible to combine the internal synth engine with the Plug-Outs to create super-synths with layered voices and custom splits.
Roland knows that with synthesizers you prefer to make your own sounds. The SYSTEM-8 has everything you need and some great tools. For example, the polyphonic 64-step sequencer in TR-REC style, with which you can easily record loop sequences, play them back and edit them. The arpeggio function with quick-access buttons makes it possible to quickly change patterns and styles. A vocoder is also built in, and thanks to all the connections including USB, MIDI, CV/GATE, the SYSTEM-8 is easy to integrate into the studio
