The E-series / Traditional Series by Eastman are all based on the iconic steelstring guitar from the "pre war golden-era". And so, you'll find the traditional body shapes like dreadnoughts, 0M's, 000's and 00's only for this series.
The E6 series guitars feature a solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and side, 3-piece mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and hand carved scalloped X-bracing; a package of hi-end specs that result in a good balance of mid projection (great for fingerstyle) as wel as fat low-end (nice for flatpicking). Thermo treatment is standard on these instruments, meaning they have a heat-dried top which makes the guitar sound significantly more resonant and dynamic as opposed to a non-thermo cured top. In addition, this treatment gives the guitar a beautiful antique look!
Eastman has topped of the vintage-correct looks with a set of vintage style, open gear tuners and the plain looks that -indeed- will remind you of the iconic D18...
The guitar comes including the original hardcase.
