Eastman E6SS-TC

All of Eastman’s E-Series and Traditional Series models are based on the iconic western guitars of the “pre-war golden era.” As a result, this series features only traditional body shapes—such as dreadnoughts, OM, OOO, and OO—without cutaways or pickups. This E6SS Slope Shoulder Dreadnought is, in terms of price and specifications, the ultimate centerpiece of the Traditional Collection, offering beautiful and professional specs at a fantastic price.

The body is entirely solid: Sitka spruce top, mahogany sides and back, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, and hand-carved scalloped X-bracing; a mix of high-end specifications that results in a very fine balance of incredible midrange projection (great for fingerstyle) as well as a rich low end and crisp high end (wonderful for flatpicking). On top of that, this is the Thermo Cured version of the E6SS (hence: E6SS/TC).

Thermo Cured guitars feature a top that has been heat-dried, making the guitar sound significantly more resonant and dynamic than the regular, non-Thermo Cured version. Plus, this treatment gives the guitar a beautiful antique look! The price difference between the two versions might seem big, but trust us; the TC is totally worth it!
