About the Cort brand:

Cort is built in the Indonesian Cor-tek factory that for years has been the court-producer for a lot of other very big guitar brands like Ibanez, PRS and Fender, for example, and produce over 1 million guitars on an annual basis!
So, in fact, it is the house brand of Cor-tek, although Cort is really a reputable brand in its own right and has been a market leader in the entry-level segment for years, with a nice product, lots of choice and good prices.

Because of the sheer volume of instruments built at Cort, with Cort you benefit from the law of large numbers; the quality of materials and build quality/finish is very consistent.
