The Earth 70 from Cort is one of the best-selling western guitars for the beginning guitarist. The Earth 70 is a beautifully built guitar with a solid spruce top, laminated mahogany sides and back and an ovangkol fingerboard that -for this price- sounds super good
The guitar has a double bound body, closed oil-bath tuning machines and a black finish. For the beginning guitarist we want to offer the best available on the market. Cort is built in the Indonesian Cor-tek factory that has been the producer of many other big guitar brands like Ibanez, PRS and Fender for years and produces over 1 million guitars a year!
In fact, it is the house brand of Cor-tek, although Cort is really a stand-alone, reputable brand and has been a market leader in the entry-level segment for years, with a nice product, lots of choice and good prices. Because of the sheer volume of instruments built at Cort, you benefit from the law of large numbers at Cort; the quality of materials and build quality / finish is very consistent.
