And that's exactly why we have this Cort MR500 in our collection! This guitar has a solid spruce top, laminated mahogany sides and back, ovangkol fingerboard, cut-away and Cort pre-amp. Cort is built in the Indonesian Cor-tek factory that has been the producer of many other big guitar brands such as Ibanez, PRS and Fender and produces over 1 million guitars a year!
In fact, it is the house brand of Cor-tek, although Cort is really a stand-alone, reputable brand and has been a market leader in the entry-level segment for years, with a nice product, lots of choice and good prices.
Because of the sheer volume of instruments built at Cort, you benefit from the law of large numbers at Cort; the quality of materials and build quality / finish is very consistent. Ailments or problems that (seem to) be inherent to the price range that we sometimes encounter with most other brands, we hardly see with Cort and only in exceptional cases
