The Bourgeois Touchstone series, a collection of hand-built guitars designed by the icon, Dana Bourgeois. These guitars are crafted with Bourgeois’s signature attention to detail, bringing his legendary sound and craftsmanship to more players than ever before.

Drawing on his half-century of experience as a luthier, Dana and his team carefully select Alaskan Sitka spruce for the tops and Adirondack spruce for the bracing, sourced deep from the northern forests of Maine.

The Touchstone series is a very close collaboration between Bourgeois Guitars and Eastman Music Company. After Dana has finished crafting the Touchstone tops, they are vacuum-sealed and shipped to Eastman’s workshop, where a select group of Eastman luthiers —carefully trained by Dana Bourgeois himself in tonal philosophy and construction methodology—integrate the tops into Dana’s designs and bring each guitar to life. The finished instruments are then shipped back to Bourgeois in Lewiston, Maine, for a final inspection and adjustment.

The collaboration between Bourgeois and Eastman has proven to be a brilliant move. The result is the ultimate blend of exceptional quality at an exceptional price. The Touchstone guitars can truly be called high-end player’s guitars and may well leave the established order far behind.

This special model is based on his personal Bourgeois guitars and is being released worldwide in a limited edition of just 100 pieces. With its classic sunburst finish, unique antler inlays, and authentic Americana look, this Bourgeois acoustic guitar is a true head-turner, built for musicians seeking both style and top-notch quality.

The combination of an Aged Tone Sitka spruce top and a walnut back and sides delivers a powerful, balanced tone with great definition. The thermally treated (torrefied) spruce top responds instantly to every strum and immediately delivers the open, broken-in sound of a guitar that’s been played for years. The walnut wood adds warmth, brightness, and a subtle dark undertone, making chords sound full and ensuring that single notes stand out clearly.

Like every Bourgeois guitar, the Luke Bryan Touchstone Edition is finished using the famous hand-voiced tap tuning process. During this artisanal process, each top is individually tuned for optimal resonance, balance, and dynamics. The result is a dreadnought with impressive projection, powerful midrange, and a direct attack that shines in fingerstyle, flatpicking, heavy strumming, and singer-songwriter playing.

In terms of finish, this Bourgeois Touchstone Edition also exudes pure class. The comfortable, mild V-shaped neck made of Honduran mahogany is paired with a luxurious ziricote fingerboard, featuring the distinctive antler inlays designed exclusively for this model. The ebony headstock is finished with a subtle “LB” logo as a tribute to Luke Bryan. High-quality Schaller Grand Tune tuners, stylish ivoroid bindings, and a beautiful high-gloss lacquer finish round out the package and emphasize the premium character of this guitar.
