Ludwig LTD Vistalite Zep Green

The Vistalite series with its acrylic shells was introduced by Ludwig in the early 1970s, just when a new era was dawning for music and fashion. What once started as a fashionable drum kit with its trendy color combination (and unusual build!), has grown into an icon that is unmissable in today's rock scene with representatives such as Jon Theodore (Queens of the Stone Age), Patrick Carney (The Black Keys), Patrick Keeler (The Raconteurs) and of course Led Zeppelin-Icon, John Bonham.

Following the same Ludwig tradition, the current Vistalite is still handmade in Monroe, USA. The 6mm (thin) acrylic shells with reinforced, glued seam have a 45 degree bearing edge and sound fat, punchy and in your face; lots of attack, little sustain and body. Because of this specific sound character, the skins are very decisive for the tone and the Vistalite comes out well in large sizes.

Therefore; check out this Vistalite Limited Edition in an ultimate rock configuration. This ZEP kit (yes, this is a logical reference to Bonham / Zeppelin) is put together for the occasion in a limited green edition and consists of a 26x14" kick drum, 14x10" tom (no mount, snare stand only), 16x16" floortom and 18x16" floortom.
