The Vic Firth 85A with teardrop tip from the American Classic Hickory Series combines the dimensions of an 8D and 5A for a perfectly balanced stick with a light touch. A fine, nimble stick for the drummer with a controlled playing technique who sometimes wants to be able to deliver a heavy hit as well. The length is the same as that of a 5A.
