Vic Firth drumstick pair with small round tip from the American Custom Maple Series. With its small tip, this stick is great for subtle, controled playing and for drummer with a refined stick technique.
Relative to hickory sticks, maple sticks are somewhat lighter in weight (lower density) which allows for refined playability, bounce and balance. In addition, maple has a different "wear behavior"; due to its texture, the wood has the property of "chipping" or splintering and typically breaks less quickly along the entire length of the stick.
SD2 "Bolero" are relatively thick but short sticks (similar to a 7A length and a 2B thickness) and have the following specifications:
