This snare drum, built in Germany, features a cross-laminated birch shell that is 7 mm thick (7-ply), measures 14 x 6.5", and has a 45' bearing edge. It is equipped with 10 Tune Safe Sonor lugs with internal locking mechanisms and Sonor’s 2.3mm Power Hoops, ensuring consistent tuning stability. In addition, the SQ1 snare comes standard with the unique Dual Glide snare strainer. This strainer not only has a highly functional, smooth throw-off mechanism but also allows for tensioning on both sides and features a unique quick-release function that lets you detach and reattach the entire snare bed. This makes it incredibly easy to swap out different snare heads (using a two-dock system). Quality, durability, and innovation at their best and most beautiful!
