After a few years of revamping its production processes, Ludwig has fortunately reintroduced the Supraphonic bronze snare drum. With this model, Ludwig offers a blend of the tonal characteristics of wooden and metal snare drums. Bronze—a soft, dark metal often associated with cymbals—delivers a warm tone with a projection rarely found in wooden drums. The 8” deep, seamless, raw shell of this bronze snare drum produces a round, resonant sound with a unique tonal character. This specific model is equipped with 10 Imperial lugs, triple-flanged rims, a P88AC throw-off, and a raw finish.
