Sonor Kompressor 13x07" Beech

This Kompressor snare drum features a 12-ply, 8mm-thick beech shell crafted using Sonor's Cross-Laminated Tension Free (CLTF) process. It measures 13x7", features ten Sonor TuneSafe double lugs, Steel Power Hoops, and a Sonor standard throw-off. As part of the development process for all its drums, Sonor spends extra time meticulously fine-tuning dimensions in relation to materials—a process they call Optimum Shell Measurements (OSM). As a result, Sonor shells are slightly smaller in diameter than the specified size, allowing the heads to resonate optimally. This gives the 7" deep beech shell its characteristic dry tone with ample attack, body, and stick definition. An incredible snare drum for a more traditional, old-school sound.
