Tama STAR Ash Stave 14" snare drum, Oiled Natural Ash Tama’s stave snare drums are made from 16 staves that are perfectly cut and bound together to form a 10mm-thick shell. This construction method requires a great deal of craftsmanship and expertise—and that’s exactly what Tama brings to the table. Time and again, we’re amazed by the sound this snare produces. The snare has a fantastic tone and is versatile in the studio as well as live. The ash variant of the Tama Stave line produces great midrange tones; it’s warm and powerful. The walnut variant is slightly warmer and more complex.
