Now, this prestigious snare drum is available in the Star Reserve collection with even more refined, luxurious specifications.For example, this Star Reserve is made from 20 staves (instead of 16 in the Star Stave Ash), which are perfectly cut and bound together to form a 10mm-thick shell. This construction method requires a great deal of craftsmanship and expertise—and that’s exactly what Tama brings to the table. It also has a depth of 6.5" instead of 6" like the Star model, and the finish is exceptionally beautiful, featuring a slightly darker, vintage-looking amber oil finish. Time and again, we’re amazed by the sound that comes from this snare; it has a fantastic tone with unparalleled sensitivity and is versatile both in the studio and definitely live.
