Tama already had a Stave Ash snare in the STAR collection for several years. Now this prestigious snare is available in the Star Reserve collection with even more elaborate, luxurious specifications.
For example, this Star Reserve is made of 20 staves (instead of 16 on the Star Stave Ash) that are perfectly cut and bound together to form a 10mm thick shell. This way of building requires a lot of craftsmanship and specialism, and that is exactly what Tama has to offer. Also, the depth is 6.5" instead of 6" as with the Star and the finish is very classy, somewhat darker and vintage looking amber oil finish.
Time after time we are amazed at the sound that is being produced by this snare; it has a great tone with unprecedented sensitivity and is multi-applicable in the studio but also definitely live.
