The Tama Starphonic Brass snare has a 1.2 mm thick brass shell. The snare does not only have a very large voice range but also a lot of extra features that make this snare very special. The special features are the freedom lug and claw hook, this makes sure you don't have to unscrew the lugs completely. The lugs are attached to the shell so they can't fall on the ground. Non loosening rubber gaskets that ensure that the lug will not loosen. The grooved hoop, which works together with the lugs and clawhooks to combine technology with vintage sound. The snare has a rich, warm and crisp sound. If you are looking for a brass snare this is a great all-rounder, great for both studio and live situations.
