This Kompressor snare drum features a 1.2mm-thick black nickel brass shell measuring 14x6.5", ten Sonor TuneSafe double lugs, Steel Power Hoops, and a Sonor standard throw-off. During the development process for all its drums, Sonor spends extra time meticulously fine-tuning dimensions in relation to materials—a process they call Optimum Shell Measurements (OSM). As a result, Sonor shells are slightly smaller in diameter than the specified size, allowing the heads to resonate optimally. This makes this 6.5" deep brass shell a true powerhouse of a snare drum; loud when needed, but just as crisp and defined. An awesome snare drum for all-around use (pop, funk, rock).
