This is maple at its best; the Starphonic Maple is powerful yet beautifully dry with plenty of woody character. The sweet spot is when it’s tuned a bit higher, where the maple shell produces a beautiful, natural ring, yet still offers plenty of low end and body. The hybrid bearing edge (45 degrees with a rounded outer edge) adds a nice dry touch. It cuts perfectly through the mix, yet also offers a wide dynamic range for subtle playing.
