According to the Phonic design—which is characterized by exceptional precision and consistency—the 1.2mm-thick Bronze Phonic shell is cast in one piece, seamlessly, from a bronze alloy. It produces a wood-like, complex tone with a crisp mid-range. Bronze is definitely one of the most musical materials in the world of metal snare drums. This 6.5" version of the Bronze Phonic offers the best of both punch and body. Ludwig knows better than anyone how to craft a beautiful snare drum; check out this raw bronze finish, where the outer layer of bronze has been patinated and then impregnated. The classic look of the Imperial lugs, combined with the triple-flange hoops, is a must-have.
