This Kompressor snare drum features a 1.2mm-thick black nickel brass shell measuring 14x5.75", 10 Sonor TuneSafe double lugs, Steel Power Hoops, and a Sonor standard throw-off. During the development process for all its drums, Sonor spends extra time meticulously fine-tuning dimensions in relation to materials—a process they call Optimum Shell Measurements (OSM). As a result, Sonor shells are slightly smaller in diameter than the specified size, allowing the heads to resonate optimally. As a result, the 5.75" deep brass shell delivers a nice, crisp attack, along with plenty of tone, definition, and subtlety. An awesome snare drum for all-around use (pop, funk, rock).
