Sonor took its inspiration for today's Vintage series from Sonor's most sought-after vintage kit, the Teardrop. The features of iconic classic, in the mix with Sonor's state-of-the-art craftsmenship and modern features results in a professional all-rounder with loads of character.
The 6mm thick shell of this Vintage snare is made of German beech wood and built in a cross laminate construction with a vintage-correct round bearing edge. An absolutely beautiful are the classic teardrop lugs; a classic design taken from the Teardrop set, but updates to modern standards with Sonor's Tune-Safe System. No less impressive is the modern remake of the Super-50 throw-off system; a strong piece of solid German craftsmanship cloaked in a beautiful vintage jacket. To top off the looks, the timeless Script logo has been used.
If you are looking for a Vintage sound with a rich, complex sound and the benefits of a solid and modern built snare drum, this is exactly what you are looking for. At the same time, it is subtle and not overly loud. Which is kind of refressing; a snare that is filled with tone instead of painstaking volume.
