The Tama Simon Phillips Signature Snare Drum 14x6.5 has been added to the Tama snare drum family in an updated version. This snare drum was developed in collaboration with renowned English drummer Simon Phillips, known for his work with Jeff Beck, The Who, Toto and David Gilmour, among others. Simon Phillips is known as an extremely versatile drummer who has made his mark in both rock and jazz. His signature snare drum reflects that versatility, offering a balanced sound with an emphasis on clarity, punch and a wide dynamic range. The sound is tight and well defined, with a clear snare resonance that lingers nicely even with a light touch, while at the same time the drum is powerful enough for firmer playing styles. This makes it particularly suitable for both studio recording and live use.
