The Studio King Series harkens back to a tried-and-true design from the studio era. The snare has a 5-ply maple-poplar shell and a 30-degree bearing edge, providing a balanced sound that works well in the studio and live. The sound is tight and focused, with enough warmth and flexibility for different styles of music. The nickel-plated hardware includes an updated Zoomatic throw-off, Stick Saver hoops and Streamline lugs-classically designed and practical to use. With this series, Slingerland takes a recognizable step back to its roots, with modifications appropriate for contemporary use. Suitable for both recording and performing.
