The Prolite snaredrum collection is all about serving the pro drummer; no bling-bling, just tone and the highest quality you can get on the drum market.
This 14x5" Prolite Steel is plain and to the point but will do the job night after night. Reliabillity and ease of set up is where Sonor is clearly aiming for with their tune safe double lugs and Dual Glider System. This unique strainer allows you to ungear the snare wires from both strainer and butt-end side for easy replacement of the wires and without having to reset the tension. Both ends of the strainer can be tension adjusted.
Despite its relatively shallow depth, this snare sounds huge and ballsy. It has all the snappy-ness and bottom-end you can ask for. This drum brings instant ROCK to the drum kit; Chad Smith might just be a perfect reference here to give you an idea what the Prolite Steel can do best.
All "Made in Germany" Sonor products are handmade and hand-assembled in the Sonor workshop, the German way. That means: no compromises, with unlimited precision and to the highest possible standards. Every drum built in Germany is an absolute masterpiece.
