Sonor Kompressor 14x5.75" Steel

This Kompressor snare drum features a 1mm-thick steel shell measuring 14x5.75", ten Sonor TuneSafe double lugs, Steel Power Hoops, and a Sonor standard throw-off. During the development process for all its drums, Sonor devotes extra time to meticulously fine-tuning dimensions in relation to materials—a process they call Optimum Shell Measurements (OSM). As a result, Sonor shells are slightly smaller in diameter than the specified size, allowing the heads to resonate optimally. This means the 5.75" deep steel shell produces a bright, defined snare sound with rich overtones and excellent stick definition. This also makes the snare well-suited for tuning to a slightly higher pitch. Versatile, but above all, it’s ideal for drummers who can play with control and subtlety, thereby making the most of the rich sound of the steel snare drum.
