Sonor Benny Greb Beechwood 13x5.75" signature snaredrum

Benny Greb is definitely one of the most exiting solo drummers of our generation. And we @Klundert Music are fans of the man and his drumming! We wouldn't even care if Sonor would do a cardboard "Benny Greb" snare, we would still add it to our collection!
The opposite is true though; the sinergy between Greb and Sonor has once again resulted in beautiful, unique and impressive snare drums. Two to be precise, as -in addition to the existing beech snare- there is now a brass version as well.

Although the overal specifications have remained the same, this mark 2 version of the beechwood snare has been given a significant facelift and upgrade in respect to the first version. The dimensions are still 13x5.75", a 5mm / 9ply thick shell with 45 degree bearing edges. The shell is made of beech wood with a beautiful Scandinavian birch outer ply with bubinga inlay. Another cool aesthetic change are the 1950's teardrop vintage Sonor offset lugs. A new and exiting feature for both Greb snares are the two internal dampers. Thanks to the clever "monorail" mounts, these damper can independently be placed against the batter head. This allows you to accurately determine the degree of dryness of this snare. Complements to Sonor for making internal dampers are usable and functional again!
Anyone familiar with Benny Greb's playing and sound, knows that this snare can do it all; from funky, snappy to big snare drum sounds with a fat "thud".
