The Benny Greb Signature 13x5.75" Beech features a 5mm / 9-ply shell with a 45-degree bearing edge. The shell is made of beech wood with a beautiful Scandinavian birch outer layer and bubinga inlay. Another cool aesthetic feature is the 1950s teardrop-style vintage Sonor offset lugs. New to both Greb snares are the two internal dampers. Thanks to the clever “monorail” mounts, these dampers can be positioned independently of each other against the inside of the head. This allows you to precisely control the “dryness” of this snare.
Anyone familiar with Benny Greb’s playing and sound knows that this snare can do it all—from funky and snappy to big snare drum sounds with a fat “thud.”
