This snare is one of the most recorded snare drums of all time and is at the top of the wish list of artists and record producers around the world for their recording sessions. The Black Beauty is made from a single sheet of brass that is machine drawn into a seamless shell. Due to the precision required in the process, this is a unique, complex and very time-consuming manufacturing process and therefor, this snare drum is only manufactured by Ludwig in small numbers. As a result, each Black Beauty is made with the utmost care and partly by hand in Monroe and they are scarce on today's market.
