The Black Beauty is made from a single sheet of brass that is machine-drawn into a seamless shell. Due to the precision required in this process, it is a unique, complex, and very time-consuming manufacturing process, which is why Ludwig produces this snare drum only in small quantities. As a result, every Black Beauty is crafted with the utmost care—and partly by hand—in Monroe, making them scarce on the market. There are now quite a few versions of the Black Beauty available, but this LB416, 14x05" with imperial lugs, is truly the ultimate classic and the professional standard. As a drummer, this is a must-have for your collection.
