The Starclassic Performer is Tama’s undisputed modern classic. Available in various models and configurations, and constantly evolving, the Starclassic has been the professional standard in drums since the mid-1990s. A few years ago, the hybrid Birch/Bubinga Starclassic Performer B/B was unexpectedly discontinued due to problems sourcing bubinga. It was a huge loss, as this was a top-notch, high-quality set in the mid-range segment. Fortunately, the Starclassic Performer is now back, this time with a hybrid shell made of birch and maple, finished in the limited-edition Dusty Rose finish.
